Opening night was Feb 25, 1926. First building in the region (not just the state) to have Air Conditioning Built for sound two years before sound movies were being produced (Jazz Singer 1927) and 4 years before sound movies made it to Nebraska (late 1929). Nebraska State Flag was shown publicly by the flag designer on opening night. An Art Deco building named after the Egyptian Goddess Isis. The auditorium ceiling is a curved barrel vault with lighting coves along each side, featuring Art Deco columns and cornice. Featured as the "poster child" for the AP Story on the plight of small town theatres struggling to convert to digital. Pictures and stories ran in newspapers from Boston to San Diego and Seattle to Miami. Also featured in USA Today.
