LINCOLN, Neb. (May 27, 2017) — Nebraska’s prime tourism season begins this Memorial Day weekend as people across the country are getting ready to head off on their next adventure. It is no secret that this is the busiest time of the year for traveling, especially in Nebraska where there are activities and events all summer for everyone to enjoy.
“There’s not a way in the world that you can’t find something fun to do in Nebraska this summer. There’s an extensive and impressive lineup of activities being hosted across the state,” said John Ricks, Nebraska Tourism executive director.

Mobile Children’s Museum
April 7-October 8
Children will discover the unique and exciting history that makes Nebraska great through this hands-on museum. Find out what city this museum will be “truckin’ through” next on their website.

Seward 4th of July Celebration
Celebrate in Nebraska’s official Fourth of July city with a parade, craft show, air show and a huge fireworks display to wrap up the night.
Fur Trade Days
Enjoy a parade, musical living history play, Native American film festival, boat regatta, Colter Run and many more activities.
Winnebago Pow Wow
Members of the Winnebago tribe gather for dance, drumming and singing competitions. You can also participate in softball and horseshoe tournaments.
Kites and Castles

Total Solar Eclipse
Path of totality
