The Missouri River, sun-drenched countryside, charming towns, bountiful orchards, tallgrass prairies, and historic settlements are there for you to explore.

A must-see on this route is the Arbor Lodge State Historical Park and Arboretum in Nebraska City. The National Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Adventure at Arbor Day Farm is also a big treat for kids and adults alike. In Brownville, spend a relaxing afternoon cruising down the Missouri River on the Spirit of Brownville Riverboat, take in a play or concert at the Brownville Village Theatre and Brownville Concert Hall, shop in the quaint downtown area, or sip wine at sunset on the deck of Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard & Winery. At Indian Cave State Park near Shubert, the whole family will enjoy 3,500 acres of outdoor recreation along the Missouri River. It’s ideal for camping, hiking, picnicking, and more. At Homestead National Monument of America near Beatrice, learn more about the turning point that settled the Wild West.
