Columbus Area Recreational Trails (CART for short) is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization. CART is composed of a group of volunteers who envision a series of human-powered transportation and recreation routes through the community of Columbus, Nebraska. CART was formed in the mid-1990s to provide coordination of funding and maintenance of a master plan of development for these trails. Trail development is always ongoing! Trails are located in Pawnee Park, around Lake Babcock and Lake North, along Wilderness Road, and near the Columbus Community Hospital.
