An American Legion Memorial Park Monument is located in the northwest corner of the park. The park was designed as a formal Memorial Park in 1941 and includes an army tank, sundial, flagpole and the largest natural boulder in Fillmore County with the inscription "For God and Country." A log cabin located in the park is available for gatherings.
