Nebraska Life Magazine's publishing headquarters is in the vibrant historic district in downtown Norfolk at 206 W. Norfolk Ave. Two 1920s buildings are combined in this creative space. Original architectural integrity is maintained with its golden tin ceilings and crown molding, exposed brick walls and character-stained wood floors that creak like a well-made wooden floor built nearly a century ago should. Nebraska's Life's cookbooks and other books, magazines, back issues, logo clothing and Nebraska-made products fill its inviting Meadowlark Store. The staff enjoys meeting visitors so stop in for the nickel tour. You can share your story and photography ideas, and don't forget to ask to meet the official office mascot: Sybil, the 2-headed calf.
