Johnson lake is a great place to camp, swim, bike, walk, hang outside with family and friends, and eat. The views of the lake in the evening are beautiful. Medos, one of the restaurants at the lake, has really great food.

We were excited about this stop as the owner, Isaac, is our pastor’s son! The coffee was the best of our trip & it sure beat the motel coffee. Their vanilla scones were out of this world delicious!

Johnson Lake SRA was a busy place over Memorial Day weekend. The campgrounds were nearly full, the sun was shining, the lake was beautiful AND there were garage sales all around the lake! What could be better? ?

Our trip to North Platte included a journey into the country side. We were unable to spend time at Grain Ben Antique Town but did enjoy the views of the countryside from that venue. We will allow more time to explore in the future!
