The Longhorn Bar has been a favorite local gathering place in Sutherland since the close of prohibition in 1933. This neighborhood tavern is located right on the historic Lincoln Highway. Inside you'll find friendly people, a great selection of craft beers, signature cocktails and pub food as well as 31 feet of HD big screens, pool tables, shuffleboard, darts and electronic games.
Nearby is the Sutherland Reservoir, a 3,000 acre lake popular for fishing, camping and water sports, and the 9-hole Oregon Trail Golf Course and Flatrock Riders OHV Park. Sutherland is set mid-way between the Oregon and Mormon Trails, as well as between the North and South Platte Rivers. There are pristine ruts of both trails nearby, and many historic road ranch sites. Kayaking and tubing are popular on the rivers, and there is great hunting on many areas of local public land.
