Crescent Moon is a Haymarket staple. College kids gather to study, young professionals seek a quiet escape and artists come to share their passions. Long-time events they hold include a poetry and prose open mic on Wednesdays from 6:30-9:00 PM, and a singer and songwriter open mic on Thursdays from 6:30-9:00 PM. The Zoo is a live music hub for all of Lincoln. It’s overheard in casual conversation all over the city and mentioned even more during Zoofest, a celebration of live music in Nebraska held at the Zoo every summer. A unique part of their weekly line-up is karaoke with a live band playing beside you. They know hundreds of songs across all genres and can quickly pick up a tune. Stop in from 9:30-10:55 PM on Thursdays to get your foot on the stage.

On the first and third Thursday of each month is an open mic for singers and acoustic musicians. You get a 20 minute time slot from 5-8. The best part? To wrap up the evening, they like to get all the performers together and have a group jam session!

Head to the downtown location to be a bit closer to all the action and head out west for a calmer vibe. Spread your wings at Moe and Curly’s Karaoke 8 nights a week starting at 9pm!
