2016-2017 Tourism Marketing Grant Guidelines now available
Lincoln, Neb. (March 2, 2016) Applications for the Nebraska Tourism Commission's annual Tourism Marketing Grant program are now being accepted. “The price tag on marketing projects continues to increase year after year and that’s why we hope Nebraska’s tourism industry will take advantage of these grant opportunities. We want to help destinations spread the word about what they have to offer to potential travelers,” said Nebraska Tourism Commission Executive Director, Kathy McKillip.
This year the Commission has allocated $150,000 in funding support for the program. The focus of the grant program is to attract new visitors from outside a 100-mile radius. Funding for marketing projects is available in three grant categories: 1) Promotion of an Event, 2) Promotion of a Region and 3) General Marketing. The minimum grant amount that can be requested is $2,000 and the maximum is $15,000.
