Weekly Schedule to participate in National Travel & Tourism Week

Monday, May 5: Engage & Educate

• Reach out to your District's Senator(s) and Commissioner
• Communicate the importance of tourism, new developments in your area, positive findings, and future plans

Tuesday, May 6: Dress for the Press

• Meet with local news stations and reporters, get the word out to your community that it's National Travel and Tourism Week

Wednesday, May 7: Hometown Pride

• Wear the colors and logo of your destination
• Consider giving away merch or swag to residents who engage on social media
• Have residents wear swag of your destination and share the reasons they love your destination on social media

Thursday, May 8: Build Better Together

• Consider joining your tourism association if you're not already a member (Nebraska Travel Association, Nebraska Hospitality Association, etc.)
• Learn about the benefits of being a member and the strength behind numbers, ask the association leaders questions about their goals, members, and what they're working towards

Friday, May 9: Destination Showcase

• Show off your destination and attractions on social media
• Create a walking tour for residents to explore your area while they shop
