Nebraska Rolls Out a New Marketing Campaign Encouraging Visitors to Visit Nebraska. Visit Nice.
Lincoln, NE (May 15, 2014) — The Nebraska Tourism Commission has introduced a new marketing campaign designed to showcase the nice moments and people that visitors can experience while in Nebraska. Samples of the campaign’s initial collateral are available for the public to view at www.VisitNebraska.com.
Nebraska Tourism Commission Director, Kathy McKillip commented, “Visit Nebraska. Visit Nice. has a dual meaning. It’s a reference to the nice moments and the nice people that make the best vacations memorable and special. It’s about the special moment that is talked and cherished for years and years to come. It’s different for everyone, it could be tanking down the Middle Loop River with good friends, or enjoying a College World Series game with your son, or learning to water-ski while on a family camping trip at Lake McConaughy.”
The branding research and the new campaign that resulted are a result of LB684, which directed Nebraska Tourism to create a statewide strategic plan including marketing recommendations. That plan was completed and made public in August 2011. The results of the survey were used to develop a brand promise, from which Nebraska Tourism’s new marketing campaign.
“This is an amazing state. There is so much to offer a potential visitor,” said Carter Weitz, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer for Bailey Lauerman, the marketing agency tasked with working with Nebraska Tourism to launch the campaign. “We’ve created a series of stories built around their stay, their discoveries, and their ‘nice moments’.”
