Nebraska Tourism Commission Announces Nebraska Tourism Cares Program
LINCOLN, Neb. (December 14, 2015)— Nebraska Tourism Commission is excited to announce the Nebraska Tourism Cares Program. This philanthropic program aims to preserve and enrich the travel experience for future generations by protecting and restoring destinations throughout Nebraska. Nebraska Tourism will coordinate four service projects annually, each service opportunity being a two-day event. Destinations must apply in order to be considered as a service site. Nebraska Tourism coordinates the volunteer crews and logistics.
Nebraska Tourism’s Executive Director Kathy McKillip commented, “We encourage everyone to consider tourism sites throughout the state that could use extra help in maintaining or improving their destination—projects could include painting, landscaping, clean up, organization, and even new build projects.”
The application to be considered as a service site in 2016 can be found at http://visitnebraska.com/media/industry/nebraska-tourism-cares
