Nebraska Tourism Commission’s fall 2016-2017 grant guidelines now available
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LINCOLN, Neb. (August 1, 2016) – Guidelines for the Nebraska Tourism Commission’s 2016-2017 Tourism Marketing Grant program and Community Impact Grant program are now available.
The Community Impact Grant program provides marketing assistance grants to communities and organizations hosting national or international-caliber events held in Nebraska that have the potential to attract a significant percentage of out-of-state visitors and to generate favorable national or international press coverage for Nebraska. The minimum grant amount that can be requested is $25,000 and the maximum is $250,000.
The focus of the Tourism Marketing Grant program is to attract new visitors from outside a 100-mile radius.
Categories for this grant include 1) Promotion of an Event, 2) Promotion of a Region, and 3) General Marketing. The minimum grant amount that can be requested is $2,000 and the maximum is $25,000.
Grant schedule for both programs is: Aug. 1, 2016: Applications are made available Sept. 15, 2016: Deadline (must be postmarked no later than) Oct. 7, 2016: Grant recipients are announced May 31, 2017: Deadline for reimbursement
