Sunken Gardens

Local's Tip

When visiting these Lincoln favorites, smaller parties can offer the biggest moments in these spots.

Day 1
Rabbit Hole Bakery

800 Q Street
Lincoln, NE
United States

Start the day off with a freshly baked pastry or muffin, and maybe plan a return visit later in the day for a slice of cheesecake or warm cookie.

Sunken Gardens

S 27th Street & Capitol Parkway
Lincoln, NE
United States

In an attempt to give unemployed citizens a chance to earn a living during the Depression, the Lincoln community commissioned the creation of the Sunken Gardens on a 1.5-acre patch of land that once acted as a neighborhood dumpsite. This now-flourishing colorful array of over 30,000 plants is one of Lincoln’s favorite spots for a quiet, calming stroll or an impromptu photo shoot. Faithfully maintained primarily by community volunteers and generous donors, no two trips to the Sunken Gardens will be the same.

Lazlo's Brewery & Grill

210 N 7th Street
Lincoln, NE
United States

Enjoy a juicy burger or mouth-watering lahvosh and wash it down with an in-house brewed beer from Nebraska’s first brew pub.
