St. Benedict's: A Spiritual, Architectural, Art- & Craft-filled Oasis

If you could see Nebraska through my eyes, you would see St. Benedict Center, an oasis of peace, 4 miles north of Schuyler. We, Missionary Benedictine monks, share our hospitality and spirituality in this ecumenical retreat and non-profit conference center; we have done so for 20 years. The peaceful setting with a reflective pond and sculpture gardens allows visitors to relax and experience personal growth, spiritual guidance and healing. Lodging is available.

The center sponsors a variety of retreats and Schuyler community events, such as the annual Christmas Craft Show. Theatrical productions take place regularly, as well as musical performances. The center also provides room, board and conference facilities for a wide variety of groups, ranging from churches of various denominations to professional groups, quilters and businesses. Find out how first-time guests can receive a complimentary one night's lodging.

The Center is an architectural masterpiece, decorated with unique artwork from around the world. The large gift shop offers books, religious gifts and statues and much more. Across the road, our monastery is located. There we monks pray, work and live; currently there are seven of us. It also houses our second largest ministry, the Benedictine Mission House, which serves as a development and education office for the Missionary Benedictines of St. Ottilien and raises funds for numerous ministries and social projects around the world. Tours are offered by appointment.

When you visit our new website, christthekingpriory.com, don't miss the videos which introduce you to our lives as monks!
