What to do in Nebraska now that it's officially fall

LINCOLN, Neb. (September 22, 2016)—The most beautiful time of the year, where the state is decorated with pumpkins and colors of orange, red and yellow and Husker chants and leaves are all around. Today is officially the first day of fall and Nebraska has plenty of destinations that thrive during this time of year. Keep yourself entertained this season with the following things to do:
 
Pumpkin Patches
One of the staples of fall, Nebraska is plentiful when it comes to pumpkin patches. Check out Poppy’s in Norfolk, Vala’s in Gretna or many others and enjoy picking out a pumpkin, sipping apple cider and jumping on a hayrack ride.

Orchards
Fall is the perfect time to celebrate the different harvests going on around Nebraska. Pick apples or pumpkins at Kimmel Orchard in Nebraska City, raspberries at Fanny’s Fruit Farm in Gurley, different colored pumpkins at Martin’s Hillside Orchard in Ceresco or apples at Arbor Day Farm.

State Parks
